HOMECOMING 2007
Homecoming at the University of Arizona will be held November 2-4, 2007.
Brothers of Alpha Tau Omega will gather Friday, November 2nd, at 6:30 p.m. at Old Pueblo Grill at 60 North Alvernon. That's on Alvernon just north of Broadway on the east side of the street. We'll meet again in the patio off the Board Room. After you enter the grounds of the restaurant through the arch, make your first right and go down the stone path to the outdoor patio. The Alumni Association will again provide appetizers. It will be a cash bar and you're welcome to stay and order dinner.
Be aware that the Homecoming football game versus UCLA has been picked up by ABC Sports. Kickoff has been moved to 12:30 p.m.
There are big changes on Saturday to what we've done the past several years. The University has announced that no organizations on the Mall will be allow to provide alcohol with the sole exception of the Alumni Association. Your Board of Directors had actually decided earlier that our Saturday Membership Meeting and social gathering would not be on the Mall, but rather at the home of Brother David Alspach and his wife Denny.
And that's where we will gather on Saturday morning. Their address is 2108 East Third Street. That's two blocks east of Campbell on Third. Directly east of campus. The Membership Meeting of the Corporation will start promptly at 9 a.m. that day in Dave's garage (enter off Olsen Street). Following the meeting, we'll gather in their backyard for social activities with beer, wine, soft drinks and food provided. The gathering will last until noon.
If you arrive early enough, there should be adequate street parking in the area.
The Board voted at its' September 22nd meet not to host a tent on the Mall this year.
Updates will be posted here as they are determined.
